In under three years, Hollywood Cares has turned the power of culture into measurable change for Stockton youth and families.

Our signature youth initiative leverages a community organizing model that leverages youth-led after-school clubs and conferences. After nearly a year of organizing efforts led by founder Jason Lee, in 2023 the Stockton City Council voted to approve its first youth services fund of $2.086 million in support of I Am Ready

HCF is proud to be the 2026 recipient of a $12.4 million award grant from California's Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) towards the construction of a new dedicated mental health facility for youth in San Joaquin County. The I Am Ready Stockton Youth Center will include a Community Mental Health Clinic, a short-term housing program, infrastructure for job training, certified peer support, and countless more resources for young members in our community. Target completion for the facility is scheduled for 2028.

In July 2024, over 100 Stockton youth joined Hollywood Cares for a special back-to-school summit to attend workshops focused on civic leadership

Through our annual Toys 4 Joy holiday give-back event, we have served more than 5,000 families, creating moments of care, visibility, and connection that have helped deepen community trust.
